Eastern Africa
|
One of the most famous and renowned game-viewing regions in the world. From the big five of the Masai Mara and the pink flamingos at Lake Naivasha, to the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, Kenya is a wildlife enthusiasts paradise. It is also blessed with the golden sands of Mombasa, and the centuries-old charm of fascinating Lamu.
Neighbouring Tanzania, the land of Kilimanjaro, offers a superb safari experience, with the focus on the unique Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti National Park. The remote Selous Reserve & Ruaha National Park are the gems of the south, whilst the island retreats of Zanzibar and Pemba lie offshore.
Rwanda, one of East Africa’s forgotten jewels, offers a fascinating mixture of game-viewing, stunning scenery, cultural and historical sites, and is also home to the magnificent, but endangered, mountain gorilla.
