Victoria Falls
|
Divided into six separate waterfalls – Devil’s Cataract, Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls, Armchair Falls and Eastern Cataract, the Victoria Falls cascade into an enormous chasm, producing clouds of spray rising 500m up into the sky, giving rise to the local name ‘Mosi-Oa-Tunya’ or ‘the smoke that thunders’.
The Victoria Falls is 1 708 metres wide, making it the largest curtain of water in the world. A number of activities can be undertaken from micro-lighting with stunning views of the Falls to rafting the wild rapids, kayaking, fishing and stunning boat cruises.
