Day 1:

Overnight flight to Cape Town.

Days 2-4

Collect hire car and stay three nights at Four Rosmead Boutique Guesthouse. A contemporary Cape classic house within an historic building which has been classified as a provincial monument - each of its eight rooms offers magnificent views of Table Mountain, Table Bay or Signal Hill. On the slopes of Cape Town’s magnificent mountain the guesthouse is nestled in its own landscape gardens, and provides an ideal retreat after a hard day’s sightseeing. (BB)

Day 5-6

Leave Cape Town for the beautiful Garden Route staying two nights at Bloomestate in Swellendam. Cool, contemporary and supremely comfortable. Each room opens onto the landscaped gardens and offers everything from wireless internet to ipod docking. Located at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains it offers beautiful vistas as well as proximity to Swellendam, one of the oldest settlements in South Africa with its museum, cafes and restaurants. The ideal place to relax or simply explore the area.(BB)

Days 7-8

Proceed along the world famous Garden Route to stay for three nights in Oudtshoon at Rosenhof Country House.A beautifully restored farmhouse with yellowwood beams and ceilings, antique furniture and original paintings, Rosenhof provides both comfort and class. Named after its exquisite rose garden, the retreat provides the perfect base from which to explore the area. There are 12 spacious rooms and two executive suites, both of which have their own private pool. It also has its own pub and a number of lounges where guests can relax and chill out.(BB)

Days 9-10

Continue along the coast to Plettenberg Bay for a two night stay in the boutique Bay Lodge. A luxury designer hotel overlooking the Indian Ocean, housing just six large, contemporary suites which boast the very best in contemporary design. The epitome of cool chic the lodge also provides exquisite service, delicious breakfasts served until 11a.m, in-room massages, a rooftop Jacuzzi and DVD and book library. (BB)

Days 11-13

Continue onward to stay for final three nights on the Amakhala Game Reserve in Woodbury Lodge. Set in a spectacular cliff, there are just four thatched and stone en-suite lodges, as well as a central dining room and barbecue area, lounge bar and swimming pool. The next two days will be spent in the African bush on game drives, guided walks, and canoeing or cruises on the river. (FB)

Day 14

Return hire car at Port Elizabeth airport and fly to Johannesburg for return flight to the UK.
